Editor’s Note: Asif Sultan, the assistant editor of Kashmir Narrator magazine, has been in persecution for two years today, since the intervening night of 27 and 28 August 2018. His words— that should have appeared in the spaces like above— have disappeared since that intervening night, and his journalism has been rendered blank after he was arrested, reportedly for his investigative reportage The Rise of Burhan and allegedly harbouring known militants, on August 27th, 2018.

Mountain Ink stands in solidarity with the incarcerated journalist, demands his immediate release and awaits his return with pen and paper.
