SRINAGAR — A sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) office damaged in a fire incident in Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
The double-storied building, also housing the office of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) operations, was gutted in the fire incident.
A Fire and Emergency department official told a local news agency, Global News Service, that men and machinery from at least two stations rushed to the spot as soon as receiving the news and doused off the flames. A police official said that the fire incident apparently happened due to a short-circuit. He said there was damage to record in the fire incident also. (GNS)
