14 Years On, Incharge ZEOs Await Regularization, Stage Protest

SRINAGAR — Scores of Incharge Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) Saturday staged a protest at Srinagar’s Press Enclave and demanded regularization of their jobs.
Scores of protesters assembled at the press colony and raised slogans and demanded regularization of their jobs.
Muhammad Maqbool, one of the protesters said that they have been serving in the education department from last nearly 14 years, but the confirmation of their jobs was always delayed.
“We have been submitting our documents for the regularization process from time to time, but the process is always getting delayed and thus the document for vigilance clearance becomes invalid as it is valid for six months only,” he said.
He said that DPC for every single employee including DIET (District Institute for Education and Training) principals, lecturers, and others has been completed, but the incharge ZEOs are being pushed to the wall.
