SRINAGAR — A person was dead, while at least 13 others were injured in a mysterious blast near Tehsil office in Udhampur district of Jammu division on Wednesday afternoon, reports said.
Reports said that at least 14 persons were injured in a mysterious blast that took place near the Tehsildar office in Udhampur this afternoon.
They said that one among 14 injured persons succumbed to his injuries while being evacuated to a nearby hospital.
The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Mukesh Singh Wednesday said that preliminary investigations reveal that it was an IED blast.
Talking to reporters at the site of the incident, the ADGP Singh said that the initial probe has revealed that it was an IED blast, however, its impact wasn’t much. “One person has died and 14 others were wounded,” he said.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of State, Dr Jitender Singh while confirming the incident took to Twitter and said that the blast took place around the Rehri area in which one life was lost and 13 others were injured.
