ANANTNAG — Police arrest shopkeeper and his salesman for allegedly selling dead chicken in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Local sources said that a man claimed that a poultry shopkeeper slaughtered a dead chicken in front of his eyes and when he objected, the shopkeeper apologized.
The shop is located in the Gujnag Kadipora area of the Anantnag market and is owned by Suhail Ahmed.
Police after receiving the complaint arrested the shopkeeper and his salesman.
A police official from police post-Sher Bagh confirmed that the duo has been arrested and the investigation is underway. He said the shop has been closed down after the arrests.
