NEW DELHI — A 70-year-old Kashmiri woman, Khadija, suffering from Alzheimer’s disease went missing in Delhi on Wednesday at 8:30 PM.

Her daughter, Nusrat Razaq, while speaking to Mountain Ink said that Khadija was last seen at Jamia Milia Islamia metro station at 10:30 PM.

“She went out to keep something outside, but within few minutes when I went to check on her, she wasn’t there. We checked in all alleys in Batla House, but all in vain.”

After making announcements and amplifying it on social media, a girl contacted the family at 12 midnight and informed them that she had seen Khadija at Jamia Milia Islamia metro station at 10:30 PM.

“We went there after the girl informed us, and security guard told us that he had seen her there, but she didn’t have a card and was just roaming around.” Khadija has Alzheimer’s disease. Her family had travelled to Delhi for her treatment.

Nusrat has filed a police complaint at Zakir Nagar police station, but hasn’t received a response yet.
