PULWAMA — An armed forces personnel was injured in an ongoing military operation against militants in the Mitrigam area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
A top police officer said that during the initial exchange of firing one army personnel received a minor injury.
He has been removed to a hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
Earlier, a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation on a specific input about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards the target spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation. (GNS)
