SRINAGAR — A 2-year-old girl from Srinagar died in a road accident in Awantipora this afternoon.
“The girl was identified as Touba Rani, daughter of Dr Majid Sheikh, hailing from Soura Srinagar boarding a ‘Wagon R’ vehicle bearing registration number JK18B-6101 driven by one Shiekh Suheel son of Ghulam Hassan met with an accident along NHW at Chersoo,” an official said.
The injured girl was immediately evacuated to Primary Health Center Awantipora, where she succumbed to her injuries, he added.
A police official confirmed the incident and said a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations have been launched. (KDC)
