GANDERBAL — Two tourists died while over a dozen sustained injuries in a road accident on Thursday near the Hariganiwan area of Kangan In Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the accident occurred on the Srinagar-Leh highway near Hariganiwan, when a tourist mini-bus (JK01N-9382) turned turtle, while it was on its way from Sonamarg to Srinagar.
They said that two tourists died in the accident and over a dozen suffered injuries. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors referred four tourists to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment.
A police official confirmed the death of two tourists. He said some of the injured are critical. (KNT)
