BARAMULLA — Government forces Saturday claimed to have arrested three militants of the Al-Badr militant outfit in the Rawoocha area of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Quoting official sources, a local news gathering agency KNO reported that a joint team of government forces including the Indian army, paramilitary CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir police conducted a search operation in Rawoocha, Dangiwacha area of Sopore.
The sources said that during the search operation, three militants affiliated with Al-Badr were apprehended while arms and ammunition were also recovered.
They identified the arrested militants as Waresh Kamran Tantray, Amir Sultan Wani, and Tarik Ahmed Bhatt. “One AK-47 Rifle, one AK-47 Magazine, thirty-live rounds, two Pistols, two Pistol Magazines, 37 live rounds, and two lakh cash was recovered from their possession.”
