SRINAGAR — A man from south Kashmir was found dead under mysterious circumstances at hotel Gulfam in the summer capital Srinagar, officials said on Sunday.
They said that a man identified as Showkat Ahmad Ahanger (28), a resident of Sangran Shopian was found dead under mysterious circumstances at hotel Gulfam room no 312 at court road in Srinagar following which the local police was informed.
A police officer while confirming the said, “Apparently, it seems suicide, however, we are ascertaining the facts,” he said adding that case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation is on.
The body will be handed over to his family members after completing necessary medico-legal formalities, he added. (KDC)
