IED Detected, Defused in JK’s Doda, Says Police

DODA — An improvised explosive device (IED) was detected and defused by armed forces in the Ghat area of Doda district on late Wednesday evening, police said.
Police officials said that soon after information about the suspicious material was received, police and CRPF rushed to the spot and sealed the area.
“On examination, it was found that an IED was there in a bag which was later on defused,” police said.
“We have launched an investigation into the matter,” police added.
