SRINAGAR — Four militants have been killed during multiple military operations by the government forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
A Police spokesperson said that five simultaneous operations were launched by the joint parties of government forces overnight, in which four militants were killed across three districts of Pulwama, Ganderbal, and Handwara.
Two of the militants belonged to the Jaish-e-Mohammad, including one from Pakistan, while the other two belonged to the Lashkar-e-Taiba, police said.
Police said one militant was also captured during an operation.
Kashmir Zone Police while quoting the Inspector General of Police said that the police had launched joint operations at 4-5 locations yesterday night. So far, KZP said two militants of JeM including one Pakistani have been killed in Pulwama. Besides, one militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba was killed in Ganderbal and Handwara each.
