BANDIPORA — An SPO of Jammu and Kashmir police succumbed to his injuries and four other security personnel were injured after unidentified gunmen hurled a grenade in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Police sources said that a grenade was hurled towards a joint police and CRPF party near Nabirpora Nishat Park Bandipora in this afternoon.
Five security personnel’s sustained injuries in the attack. The injured were shifted to hospital from treatment. Hospital sources said that one SPO identified as Zubair Ahmad (driver), a resdient of Papchan area of the district succumbed to his injuries.
Joint Forces cordoned off the area after the attack and the traffic has been diverted on the road. (Agencies)
