JAMMU — Director General (DG) of Border Security Force (BSF), Pankaj Kumar Saturday said that the BSF troops are competent enough to tackle any nefarious designs by anti-national elements.
The BSF DG visited Border Out Post Octroi accompanied by Inspector General D K Boors and other officers to witness a Retreat Ceremony.
Talking to media persons on the sidelines of the function, the DG BSF said that the BSF men are alert with all equipment and gadgets to thwart any design of anti-national elements.
According to the news agency, Kashmir News Observer, he said drone threats pose a big challenge in the present scenario and the BSF has been handling this challenge very effectively by installing anti-drone systems along the International Border.
“With the help of technology gadgets, the BSF troops are competent enough to tackle any notorious designs by anti-national elements,” the DG said.

Replying to the activity of militants on the other side of the border at launching pods, the DG BSF said that with the technology gadgets it’s not hard to know the activities on the other side, we keep watch on their activities and do not allow them to succeed in their nefarious design.
Surjit Singh Sekhon DIG, BSF Jammu briefed DG BSF about complexities of management of border area under prevailing current security scenario and also informed the DG about recent threats being faced by the BSF on Jammu IB.
Earlier in the day, the DG BSF also attended a meeting chaired by the Union Home Minister at Raj Bhawan over security-related issues.
