BARAMULLA — The fourth militant has been in a military operation in Malwah village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district as the military operation enters the second day, police said on Friday morning.
“One more militant was killed this morning whose identification is being ascertained,” police officials said.
So far, four militants have been killed while the operation is still in progress, police said.
The operation started yesterday after a joint team of armed forces launched a search operation in the area following information about the presence of militants.
Pertinently, a commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) along with two other militants was killed yesterday. Four armed forces personnel including an officer also sustained minor injuries in the operation
The police had said that the slain LeT commander Yousuf Kantroo figured in the list of top 10 most wanted militants in Kashmir and he was the longest surviving militant in the Valley.
