HANDWARA — A 37-year-old resident of Langate, in north Kashmir’s Handwara drowned while extracting sand from a river at Mawer on Monday, prompting authorities to start search operations.
Officials identified the resident as Muhammad Amin Bhat son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Bhat, a resident of Langate. He drowned in a river near Daand Kadal.
