SRINAGAR — Two CRPF personnel were injured as militants hurled two grenades at security forces at Shopian and Tral areas of south Kashmir on Saturday evening, officials said.
They said militants hurled a grenade on a CRPF camp at Zainapora Shopian and in the blast, at least one CRPF trooper, identified as Amit Kumar of 178BN, was injured. Also, a grenade was lobbed at CRPF Camp at Nowdal Tral area of southern Pulwama district this evening. There are also reports regarding injuries in the incident, they said.
A senior police officer confirmed to Kashmir Dot Com and said that so far two CRPF men were injured in the twin grenade blast. Soon after the attacks, the areas were cordoned off to nab the attackers, he said, adding that “separate cases have been registered and further investigations are underway”. (KDC)
