SRINAGAR โ The Jammu and Kashmir Meteorological department Thursday said that the weather will improve in the region from today evening onwards.
An official of the department said that light rains and snow occurred in J&K today and the current system is likely to persist till today evening after which there would be improvement in the weather.
Several parts of Kashmir Valley on Thursday received fresh rains and snowfall, even as meteorological department.
“From tomorrow onwards there is no likelihood of heavy rain or snow till February 11,โ the official said.
He said that there would be erratic weather with occasional rain or snowfall at scattered places till February 8.
โLight rain and snow is also most likely at scattered places during February 6 to 7. Fresh rain or snowfall occurred at Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Qazigund in the Kashmir region and rains occurred at Kathua and Katra in Jammu region,โ he said. (Agencies)
