Two Militants Slain in Overnight Srinagar Military Operation
The duo was identified as Rayees Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Hameed Bhat of Shahbad Veeri Bijbhera and Hilal Ahmad Rah alias Shaboo, son of Safeer Ahmad Rah of Kuthipora Waghama Bijbehara.
SRINAGAR — Two militants were killed in a military operation that broke out in the Rainawari area of Srinagar late last night, police said here.
A police officer said that the military operation broke out in Rainawari at around 1 am.
He said that the two militants were killed, while arms and ammunition were also recovered from the site of the military operation.
A police officer identified the duo as Rayees Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Hameed Bhat of Shahbad Veeri Bijbhera and Hilal Ahmad Rah alias Shaboo son of Safeer Ahmad Rah of Kuthipora Waghama Bijbehara.
A top police officer said that Rayees had gone missing on 8th August last year while Rah went missing on 18th October the same year. Both were affiliated with Lashkar-i-Taiba and were category-C militants.
