SRINAGAR โ Kabul University in Afghanistan has appointed a Kashmiri Professor Dr Khalid ul Rehman Hakeem as Curriculum Reviewer.
Hakeem, a resident of Anantnag (Islamabad) in south Kashmir, is currently working as Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
He has been appointed to review the curriculum for MSc. Program at Kabul University, Afghanistan.
Recently, Hakeem was appointed as the Visiting Professor at Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has also been included in the world’s 2% Scientists (Plant Science category) by Stanford University in 2021.
Hakeem has a PhD degree in Botany from the Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, India in 2011.
During his PhD, he worked on โProteomics and nanobiotechnological approach for the improvement of nitrogen use efficiency in riceโ. Besides, Hakeem has more than 9 years of teaching/research experience in Plant Eco-Physiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics as well as Environmental sciences at both undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels.
Hakeemโs fields of specialization include Plant Stress Physiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology & Molecular Biology; Genomic & Proteomic Analysis; Pollution Research; Environmental & Ecological Studies.
