Some “miscreants” for their vested interests are trying to delay the declaration of the final selection list in order to ensure the extension of the contractual employees.

SRINAGAR — Scores of aspirants, who have qualified the exams for the posts in the Health and Medical Education department, Friday staged a protest demonstration in Srinagar asking the authorities to declare the final selection list.

The protesters said that the advertisement notification for the posts was declared in March 2021 and subsequently, the exams were held in August last year.

Many of the aspirants who qualified for the examination left the private and contractual jobs, one of the aspirants said. However, he said, some “miscreants”, for their vested interests are trying to delay the declaration of the final selection list in order to ensure the extension of the contractual employees.

The protesters urged the New Delhi appointed Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, to intervene in the matter.

“We appeal Lieutenant Governor led administration and Health and Medical Education department to look into the matter so that the aspirants could heave a sigh of relief,” the protesters said. (Agencies)
