Govt Ends Services of Two Kashmiri Employees by Ordering Their Premature Retirement
The two employees include Ashiq Hussain, the then Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies J&K (continuing under suspension) and Showkat Ahmad Wani, the then Driver Grade-I, Motor Garages Department (presently under suspension).
JAMMU — The Jammu and Kashmir administration run by New Delhi appointed Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, on Wednesday ended the services of two employees by ordering their premature retirement.
The exercise was conducted as part of regular process under Article 226(2) of J&K CSRs and by following recommendations of a Review Committee constituted for the purpose, officials said.
The two employees include Ashiq Hussain, the then Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies J&K (continuing under suspension) and Showkat Ahmad Wani, the then Driver Grade-I, Motor Garages Department (presently under suspension).
Meanwhile, quoting sources, a local news gathering agency, GNS, reported that the Government has directed the departments to speed up the scrutinization of cases of “inefficient, non-performing and corrupt employees†for consideration of their premature retirement under the ambit of Article 226(2) of J&K CSRs.
